Security

The Apple Green Books website is a secure website located within a secure server environment which utilises SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to protect your personal information, including your name, address, and credit card information.

We use the Stronghold secure server, which supports industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption. When you enter your credit card number into the order form, it is transmitted across the Internet in an encrypted (scrambled) form and not decoded until we receive it. For added security, we also encrypt the credit card number when it is stored on disk and it is securely deleted after 30 days.

Cookies

As is the case with many websites, we may automatically receive and record information on our Internet Server logs from your Internet browser including your Internet Provider address and cookie information. ‘Cookies’ are small files that your web browser places on your computer's hard drive and which enable us to monitor your use of our website. This assists us to develop the site further based on our customer’s use of it. The cookies do not allow us to gather any personal information that would identify you or your email address. You have the option of setting your web browser to reject cookies, however this may impact negatively on your experience of this website.
